...it's the start of NaPoMo 2022 (National Poetry Month). Not that we don't need poetry every single day of the year (we do!!!) -- However, it's fun to join everyone else who's using this time to celebrate poetry and poets everywhere. Here's some of what I'm doing for NaPoMo that I'm inviting you to check out (and share with others): 1. 30 postcards from my Poetry Postcard Project "Dear waterways, dear foothills; dear egret, dear oyster bed ~ will appear in this Blog section of my website— one on each day of April. So much cool art, lovely words, and reflections on place as well as the environment! 2. Over at the Virginia Poets Database I'm building with lots of help from everybody (extra special shoutouts to Karen Vaughan and Tope Larayetan), check out the the "National Poetry Spotlight 2022" for a new poem prompt every day this April. They're from VA- and VA-affiliated poets, and I promise, they will inspire you! (And while you're at it, if you identify as a VA poet, please consider submitting your information to the VA Poets Database.)
