 On Friday evening 18 March, Areen Syed, one of the Va. Young Poets in the Community winners (HS category), participated in "Through the Grapevine," a new Open Mic series at The Commune in downtown Norfolk. She read 2 fiery and big-hearted poems that blew everyone away.
